from a LightAir IonFlow 50 Sky installed in a public
school in the city center of Stockholm, Sweden.
Research shows that
LightAir IonFlow 50 in continuous operation
effectively eliminates most airborne pollution
particles (size 0.01-1.0 μm), from dust, smoke,
pollen allergens, bacteria, viruses, fungus, mould,
pet dander and more.
It is extremely effective
removing the smallest particles (nano particles
below 0.1 μm) which cause the most severe health
problems. These particles represent approx. 90% of
all particles in the air. The air purifier also
removes larger particles (1.0-25.0 μm) at a
reasonable rate. LightAir IonFlow 50 does not lose
effect over time like filter based air purifiers do.
Tests conducted by the Swedish
National Testing and Research Institute, SP (Part of
the Swedish Government, Ministry of Industry), shows
that LightAir IonFlow 50 effectively eliminates
practically all airborne particles (size 0.3-1.0 μm)
in only 5 hours.
Traditional ion- and filter air cleaners usually
presents only a theoretical air purification
performance and filter performance referring only to
the air that actually finds its way through the air
cleaner rather than examining its effect on the air
in an entire room. LightAir state conducted test
(SP) has been carried out in a closed room with a
constant and regulated flow of smoke and have
achieved remarkable results.
Linked to our ionizing air cleaning device ability
to efficiently and rapidly clean the air is its
capacity to produce electrons. Our air cleaning
device generates a very large amount of electrons
per second, which means an equal amount of negative
ions, a level that probably no other ionizer have
ever reached before. Besides from the healing effect
of negative ions, the large amount of ions naturally
attracts much more particles, viruses, bacteria etc,
than a traditional ion air cleaner, which
consequently leaves the air significantly cleaner
and healthier.
Negative ions - Proven positive
effects
French physicist J Bricard
discovered the relation between the electric state
of the air and its micro pollution as early as the
50's. The physical law of Bricard is simple: Low
concentration of negative ions in the air equals
pollution. High concentration of negative ions
equals healthy air. Besides the air cleaning
capacity of the LightAir purifier, it creates an
environment with very high quantities of negative
ions in the room. There has been extensive research
conducted in many fields of general effects of
negative ions. The results show a number of positive
effects on overall health.

filters to change

Instead of a filter, LightAir uses an aluminum
collector to trap the pollution in the air. This
means that you don't have to buy and change
expensive filters every year. An average well
working filter kit will cost you from $400-500 per
year. With LightAir, all you have to do is to wash
the collector with hot water and washing-up liquid
when needed. The need for filter change will most
likely affect your air quality negatively. Surveys
show that only 16% of owners of filter based air
purifiers change filters according to manufacturers
recommendations. Either because they forget to
change, finds it time consuming or belive it is too
expensive.

consumption of electricity
Lightair will save you a lot of money on
electricity. Since a filter based purifier need a
fan to move the air around, the energy consumption
is high - between 40 and 210 watt per hour depending
